From trade logging to real feedback: what we’re building for options traders

Over the past few weeks I’ve been talking to options traders and looking closely at how they use (or don’t use) trade logs.

What’s stood out isn’t whether a log exists, it’s what happens after the trade is recorded.

When review does happen, it’s often unstructured or inconsistent. In faster markets especially, the loop tends to be: record the trade, glance at P&L, move on. The intent to improve is there, but there isn’t always a clear system for turning past trades into actionable insight.

That creates an odd situation: data exists, but it’s not doing much work.

That observation has been shaping the direction of Hellenic.

The log is already live. The current focus is adding a layer that helps traders review trades in a more structured way and surface where their process breaks down, less about collecting data, more about generating usable feedback.

Still early and refining this with an experienced trader before opening it up more broadly.

In parallel, I’ve been building a small list of interested users through X, LinkedIn, Reddit, etc. The plan is to invite them directly once the review component is ready and iterate quickly from there.

Curious if anyone here has worked on products where the real challenge wasn’t getting users to input data, but getting them to actually engage with it in a way that changes behavior.

Also interested in any lessons on building early feedback loops that users stick with.
