🚀 From true 0 to $17K in 120 Days: How I Turned My AI Dev Frustrations Into the "Netflix for AI Engineers"

I've been cooking something for the past few months and thought I'd drop in and share it here.
Basically after years of replicating certain Agent and Automation development patterns over and over, I finally snapped and built something to solve my own problem. Now it's slowly growing with both paying and scholarship members.
The Problem That Started Everything
I was building custom AI solutions for enterprises and noticed something insane - every engineer was rebuilding identical systems from scratch.
As with most development projects, I often built variations of the same Agentic workflows. Each new project often had a mix of unique and existing patterns inside of n8n/Make/etc.
Meanwhile, other engineers were doing the exact same thing. We were all stuck in this expensive loop of reinventing wheels.
The "Screw It" Moment
One day, after implementing the SAME LangGraph orchestration pattern for the 20th time, I finally said "Ok maybe I should put together an enterprise-grade production asset library.
Took a few weeks to extract all my battle-tested implementations and next-gen prototypes into reusable templates. Not tutorials or demos - actual production canvases for Agents and Automation, code snippets and full-scope hybrid setups with error handling, monitoring, the works.
Feedback was pretty solid from the get go and that's when I knew I had something.
What I Built
AI Developer Vault - Think Netflix for AI engineers. Instead of videos, you get:
Hundreds of production-ready automation templates
Multi-agent systems that actually work
Custom tools for n8n, Make, Flowise, LangChain, LangGraph
Everything I've built in client projects, internal startups and private tutoring arrangements
Price: $369/year or $89/month
The Numbers since April/May 2025
- Revenue: $17K
- Members: 100+ (mix of paid and scholarship)
- Conversion: ~10-20%
- Time to first sale: 3 days
- Biggest win: Solo consultants and AI Integration Agencies scaling their business fast
What Actually Worked
1. Solving my own problem first
This one is a classic and is indeed the best approach to building products in 2025. I wasn't guessing what people needed. I built what I desperately wanted.
2. Production-ready from day one
While the website/Gumroad listing and many other things were a mess at first, for the core product, no MVPs or "coming soon" features. We led with what we knew which is visually orchestrated Agent and Automation development and ensured that our core offering was as good as possible.
Perfect your core before you polish your doors. Clients, users and customers will forgive the lack of polish on non-essentials but if you mess up the main offer, that could be the end.

3. Pricing for value, not cost
$369 seems high until you realize one template implementation bills for $500-3K~. Bundle and stack as Alex Hormozi describes in his books. Both of his 100M Offers and 100M Leads books were instrumental to our starting offer for this product.
4. Community over customers
Weekly calls, Slack/Discord/WhatsApp groups, members helping members. The templates brought them in, the community keeps them.
Biggest Mistakes
1. Started with lifetime deals ($369 one-time)
Great for initial cash, terrible for valuation and ongoing growth. As we are now beginning talks with Angels and external partners, we've locked in an initial lifetime tier and transitioned new assets to annual and monthly subscriptions.
2. Underestimated support time
Even with docs, people need help. Now doing extensive catchup on documentation and tutorials.
3. Didn't track metrics early
Lost valuable data about early user behavior. I was hustling daily while continuing my core developer tasks so had no time to monitor metrics. Set up analytics on day one, not day 30.
What's Next
The world of AI Agents and Automation development is moving towards LLM-crafted assets, where Copilots write the first versions of flows and Agent scaffolding and we are also moving in that direction.
One of our top internal projects is Autopilot, where we aim to allow users to craft their entire businesses with next-gen Agents. From hosted Agentic Workflows, to programmatic asset generation for n8n/Make/NextJS, we are using our own library as training material to build the future of canvas based development.
Some additional items we are working on:
- Improving documentation and the amount of included materials
- Partnering with various companies and individuals to expand our reach
- Building an Agentic and Automation Asset marketplace for direct template execution
My Advice for IH
Stop building what you think people want. Build what you desperately need yourself. I wasted years on "good ideas" that nobody actually wanted. The Vault works because I'm customer zero.
Lean startup methodology and user-centric thinking is ONLY for after you have launched, validated and proved a product/service/platform/app.
Relying on someone else's intuition and expecting the crowd to give you the next billion dollar idea is madness. It is akin for a team to show up to a game, and then spend the first hour walking around the stadium and asking fans to tell them which plays to run and how to defend.

Ship embarrassingly valuable, not embarrassingly early. When we first launched I didn't even have the servers or all of the inventory setup!
Price higher than comfortable. I almost launched at $99. Thank god I didn't. Engineers will pay for real value and time savings.
Ask IH
Currently debating: Should I raise prices to $499/year to position more premium, or keep current pricing to maximize volume?
Also exploring exit opportunities - any IH members sold a technical SaaS in the $50-200K range? Would love to hear your experience.
