When we first launched uSpeedo.com, I had a very clear—perhaps overly ambitious—vision in mind: to create the ultimate all-in-one marketing solution for startups, creators, and small businesses going global.
The plan was grand: one platform that could handle everything—content generation, team collaboration, campaign planning, cross-platform publishing, performance tracking—all powered by AI. A magical dashboard where your ideas could turn into multi-platform marketing assets, auto-scheduled and sent out with one click.
We genuinely thought this was what people needed. After all, marketing today is exhausting and fragmented. You’re managing content for 5 platforms, each with different specs and tones, tracking trends, coordinating with teammates, and constantly struggling to be consistent while staying creative. We wanted to solve it all.
And we tried. We built the whole thing.
But then reality hit.
When users finally started onboarding, the feedback was polite but clear: “Great idea, but it’s too much.” People weren’t using the full platform. They came in, generated content, and left. They didn’t care about dashboards or post scheduling. The magic we thought we had built—most didn’t even touch it.
I was frustrated at first. Months of work, features I was proud of—reduced to dust. But after sitting down with early users, listening to their real stories, something clicked: we were solving too many problems, and therefore solving none of them well.
I started asking myself: “What is the one thing that truly causes pain in the day-to-day of content marketing?”
The answer was always the same: creating content at scale, across channels, consistently.
Not managing campaigns. Not dashboards. Just… getting the content out there. Every day. On brand. On time. Across platforms. With zero mental bandwidth left.
And that’s when we made the hardest but most necessary decision: to pause our vision of uSpeedo.com and start over, with a narrower but sharper focus.
We called the new version uSpeedo.ai—a lean, AI-powered tool that helps you generate content instantly, across multiple languages and platforms, aligned with real-time trends, and optimized for daily posting. Not a full marketing platform. Just the content engine. Just the painkiller.
It wasn’t an easy decision. It felt like giving up on a dream, shelving all the hours of work, the hundreds of feature combinations we had designed. But the more we let go, the more clarity we found.
Because here’s what I’ve learned:
Startups don’t fail because of a lack of ideas—they fail because they try to do too much, too soon, for too many people.
Today, uspeedo.ai is still far from perfect. We don’t have a fancy landing page. We don’t run ads. We still get things wrong. But every time a founder says, “This helped me post on LinkedIn again,” or “I finally have a system that makes content creation easier,” I feel we’re on the right path.
Building a startup often feels like a tug-of-war between your ego and your users. And sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is to admit: I was wrong about what people needed. But I’m still here to solve it.
If you’re a solo founder, marketer, or creator struggling to stay visible while juggling everything else—I'd love to hear your story. Maybe we can help. Maybe we can build something better, together.
