Frontly's no-code app builder now $499 for life ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Hey everyone! I'm Patrick, the founder of Frontly.ai ๐Ÿ‘‹!

Frontly is similar to Glide and Softr, but with some more advanced features like custom blocks and some new AI features.

After our successful Product Hunt launch reaching #1 product of the day, we made the decision to offer our no-code app building platform for a $499 one-time payment.

Why are we doing one-time payments?

In 2024, no-code tools are becoming a commodity. With AI and no-code combined, the software landscape is changing rapidly. I already use AI to write at least 30% of my code, and that number will continue to increase.

There are massive shifts on the horizon for SaaS in general and how users think about monthly subscriptions, and I plan to stay ahead of the curve.

With the ability to replicate most software with a combination of no-code platforms like Frontly and automation tools like Gumloop (YC W24), Make and Zapier, the old models won't work for long.

While counter-intuitive for SaaS, Frontly is in a unique position.

We raised a small round over 2 years ago which we used to develop our product, but have been operating purely on cashflow for the past year.

Instead of relying on VC funding, we continually focus on improving the product and staying engaged with our community of 1500 passionate users.

With the one-time payment model, we lose out on earning long-term revenue from most users, but it allows us to rapidly build a super-passionate community while generating revenue today to fund the development of the business.

The market is HUGE and growing quickly, so I have no concerns about running out of customers, and this model allows us to penetrate the market even faster. Some day we may shift back into a pure MRR model for new customers, while grandfathering in all existing users.

I'll be sharing results publicly as a case-study on this model and to share our success.

To start, I sent an email to our user base 36 hours ago and we've already exceeded $8,000 in sales.

If you know someone in need of no-code software without the subscription fees, send them my way or to www.frontly.ai ๐Ÿ‘ .

The first $500 MRR is the hardest milestone because everything is manual and nothing compounds yet. The founders who get through it are usually the ones with conviction about a specific problem rather than a general vision.

What's the specific problem you're most confident about solving?
