Funded civic tech venture seeking founding data visualization specialist

Hi again Indie Hackers! Roote is a nonprofit startup studio working on systems change to create a flourishing future. We partnered up with an amazing Indie Hacker (Nicholas Chiang) for our last opportunity, and we're looking to do it again after raising funds for a new venture!

We are launching a project called Civic Abundance with the mission of making cities radically better places to live. We believe that cities can be beautiful, safe places with abundant housing, amazing education, and no poverty. Civic Abundance will build towards this vision by tracking the status of leading problems and solutions in cities, crowdsourcing effective solutions, and catalyzing action and policy change around the best solutions.

In addition to raising funding, we've partnered with a future giant in the urban intelligence space and an advocacy organization with high-level government connections. We're looking to hire a Founding Data Visualization Specialist (title is flexible) to build the first version (and subsequent versions) of Civic Abundance's metrics dashboard for San Francisco. This will involve acquiring and analyzing local data and then visualizing it in an accessible and compelling way. Our goal is to present this dashboard at Graph Day on June 2nd, 2022 (The Graph is one of our backers).
