Hi all,
Myself and a friend of mine are avid gaming enthusiasts (PC and Console).
We recently had the idea to develop a social platform for Gamers.
The platform will have a user profile, Forums (PS, PC, Xbox etc), Groups (for a particular area e.g PS5 release), Blog (mainly latest gaming news, memes, gaming setups), inbuilt messenger, events (Initially we were thinking of displaying local events i.e. Ireland specific) and a small shop for clothing, mugs etc.
If you have time could you please review our site.
The site is not complete yet, there are a lot of design aspects that need changing and pages need updating but some ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Logged on. I didn't mind the UI... kind of looks like a business software dashboard as opposed to a social network, but it looks clean and pretty robust with features already. The faces scrolling on the background kind of seemed random (unless im missing something)... maybe do controllers and classic gaming icons instead. I searched "minecraft","dota","call of duty", and "halo" and found 0 results... maybe you can incorporate a "Gaming News" section for the time being to at least have some content flowing into the site. Maybe a gaming news tab where youre just doing an API call (NewsAPI or gnews.io or bing) to gaming-related topics (e-sports, xbox, ps5, etc..), then let users comment on article headlines or something. Kind of just rattling things off, sorry if it seemed like a clumsy response.
wait... just re-read and went to the Blog. Maybe reach out to really small streamers and gaming channels and ask them to join the platform?
Gaming has become a dynamic and immersive form of entertainment that transcends age, gender, and cultural boundaries. The evolution of technology has brought about incredible advancements in graphics, gameplay mechanics, and virtual worlds, providing players with increasingly realistic and captivating experiences. Beyond mere entertainment, gaming has also emerged as a social phenomenon, fostering communities and connections among players worldwide.
I'm really impressed with your idea for a gaming social platform! It sounds like you've thought of all the essential features that would make it a fantastic hub for gamers. The inclusion of user profiles, forums, groups, a blog, messenger, events, and a shop shows a comprehensive approach to meeting the community's needs. While you mentioned that there are design aspects and page updates pending, I believe that focusing on creating a user-friendly interface and regularly refreshing the content will be crucial. Keep up the good work, and I'm excited to see how your platform evolves and brings gamers together in a vibrant online community!
When you start gambling, you should not hope that luck will always be on your side, there can be different cases and losing money is also possible. But if you choose sites that offer a large number of bonuses, the chance of winning increases significantly and that is why I stick to this strategy. I want to leave you the link https://sitesnotongamstop.net/casino-sites-not-on-gamstop-uk/, follow it to find casino sites not on gamstop in the uk , each site has a large number of bonuses that you can see before you sign up!
Out of curiosity, have you come across anything like this before?
Hi @schnausages, really appreciate the feedback. No not clumsy at all this is all relevant.
I like the idea of the controllers or game icons as the background, we will definitely update to something like that.
"I searched "minecraft","dota","call of duty", and "halo" and found 0 results" very valid point, we have been very focused on bringing many features that we haven't added any content yet. We will start adding content to give users an idea of how it can be used (cheers for the recommendations).
I like your idea about reaching out to steam users and gaming channel also.
There were a good few design changes we wanted to fix before launching, but maybe we are being too picky and should just start marketing it now.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to review the site.
