Created as a scratch your own itch - finally in something that's not for programmers, focus on the plants not just a mess of photos (albums and such were never right for this...)
My first app and first touching front end in like a decade
Built as Progressive Web App with framework7 with svelte
Thinking of later compiling it to real apps with capacitor as added options...
I like the one thing compatible with all...
Some features included, due I know I don't have any in the LP, since I couldn't decide yet how to display it... (drafts were bad)
- Photo walk all your plants/pots/beds, each photo taken switches to the next
- Align photos to the last one with a shadow image (of the same plant/pot/bed..)
It's still a very early version, half ashamed of all the things not there like image cache, sharing, logo... but it's usable by me, so I thought it's time to start sharing/getting feedback

We have a kitchen garden, so i would like to check it out. Can't i try it out without creating an account? Your homepage only has 1 image.
What do you expect to see? which pages would make you feel comparable with it?
I've played with the idea of the guest account, but don't yet see in my mind the experience around it, like the default you can do everything, but when you logout, it's kinda lost all the data.
Not sure if I should create like an upgrade path to create an account and nudges around the top "this is a guest account, your data will be lost, click here to register", something like that?
Or does it not matter that all your work will be lost and it's presumed? (I think IT ppl will get it, but most customers won't, and after putting in some more, starting from scratch they would just abandon it..)
What do you think?
How about a landing page that tells me what it is, what it is about and why i should use it? Im very reluctant to create an account for something i know nothing about.

You're right, I need to work on more details for the login/landing page.
I want to do sharing/public first so I can show people at least the view mode of it and my demo garden as inspiration, not sure if I'm making a mistake in priorities, but I like to just show the app itself rather than create synthetic marketing material if I can. I know I won't be able to communicate everything like that, but some basics at least.
ha.... I should think about how to do marketing material for this...
I tried it out a bit, it's still very barebones, not much to say really. I like the idea of logging a lot of activities about the garden together with pictures, but there just isn't much there.
Also, if you aim to make this a commercial product, i would give that more thought. Its business to consumer, which is harder as b2b and i think your target audience is hard to reach online.
What would you personally want to log and how specific?
Would buttons for common activities be attractive or just free text for your notes?
My current path
I'm not lacking ideas, but I rather start with some seed users and let them affect the navigation forward to what gets prioritized

I should work on my exception handling... 😞
And see what I can do to easily test other platforms
I'm kinda letting it develop as we go.
The next feature set is sharing your garden with a link somehow. (looking at what I want for myself, this allows me for non-spamy advertising by sharing my own garden with groups and on the landing page)
The initial focus is on the creator user side. As there isn't a point for an empty social thing and also there is more value on that side IMHO, the more sticky users...
It could become a social network, but creator users even if private without sharing is a higher priority at the moment.
Like let's say if commercial users find it useful I'd be happy to drill down on that side more, but I haven't really committed to that either 🤔 spread your seeds and see where they sprout? 🤷
