Geolocation App Technology

hi guys,

I am thinking of a project of an app involving real-time geolocation (technology similarly used by Uber as an example).

For that project I would need the geolocation to be very precise, would you know how precise in square feet can it be ?

Also would you know what are the current technologies allowing a an x,y,z geolocation (3D) ? For example if we want to locate an Iphone that is on the 3rd floor of a building.

    Most reliable geolocation according to vendor reports is 50 m radius. Working on a Geofencing app at the moment my self..

    You can get 3D geolocation X,Y,Z if you have a GPS device (handphone etc) locked into at least 3 GPS satellites.

    For simple IP address geolocation, you can get accuracy up to within 50km of radius. You can see one report as below.
