German non-profit jobboard for refugees looking for volunteer Laravel developer to support us

Hi everyone, I’m one of the co-founders of Workeer.de. In the summer of 2015 when hundreds of thousands of refugees fled to Germany and other European countries we launched the jobboard as a graduation project in university. During our research on how we could support refugees we found out that finding a job is one of the biggest factors to build a life in a new country and we could improve the process by building a dedicated platform for that process.

So we did. After launch it went viral immediately, we got featured on the biggest TV, radio shows, blogs, etc. So we kept building. Thousands of refugees found jobs through Workeer. Here’s one of those stories.

Over the years it became more of a side project that we kept online because there were always people using it continuously. Over the past months the topic has become more relevant again as more and more refugees are arriving in Germany again.

Now we want to improve the platform again to help even more job seeking refugees to connect with employers that are willing to hire them!
For that we’re looking for a Laravel developer who wants to support our mission as a volunteer. There’s no minimum time required on a weekly basis. If you can support in any way we’re happy about that.

The code base is very clean and a good foundation to keep improving the platform.
