I understand without RSS feed in a blog it'll be hard to get updates about new articles, but I haven't included RSS in my blog because I am not sure if a lot of people are using it.

Yeah definitely. It should be really easy to have RSS enabled.
Also, submit your RSS to as many places as you can.
