Get some free traffic from Hacker News

#fyi There's a thread on Hacker News right now that's asking people to share their profitable SaaS apps:

If you're generating any revenue at all, I encourage you to leave a comment and share! @lynnetye just posted and now has hundreds of people on her site.

Btw, #1 tip for leaving a good comment in threads like these on Hacker News and elsewhere is to be transparent. For example, you might want to share…

    • revenue numbers
    • team size
    • time you spent working on it
    • how you came up with the idea
    • how you're growing
    • etc

You're not going to get as many upvotes as the more transparent comments if you don't share interesting details that people can learn from.

I was initially disappointed to see it was specifically for SaaS and I'm doing screencasts but then I decided to start another thread for everyone doing content businesses!
