Getting business owners to talk to

Hey!

I'm having my first steps as a solo entrepreneur.
I'm having difficulty trying to get ideas. I read the book "Start from Zero" and one of the things that really resonated with me was about getting the ideas from the potential customers themselves, and more specifically get business owners "on the phone" and ask them about their ideas.

I'm actually having trouble finding business owners that are willing to talk with me just so I can ask them about their problems running their business. I'm wondering if anyone tried this technique and if and how he was successful with it.
