Getting Laid Off My First Job - The Start of My Indie Hacker journey

I've been lurking and learning on here for the past few months. Was planning to post but wasn't expecting it to be like this. So, I just got laid off this morning from my dev job... It was bitter-sweet as it wasn't my DREAM job but paid the bills. Got a few months of runway and trying to figure out what to do next - something I've never had to do before. I'm a relatively new grad (class of 2021+2022) and never had the time to really decide where I should go. The Indie hacker route seems awesome and right up my alley - but also pretty difficult (especially with no real-world entrepreneurial experience).

The plan for me atm is to do some indiehacking in some sort of way while looking for jobs (probably more than when I was employed). It's not every day where you have nothing to do but get a job/create your own business so I'm really trying to make the most out of the situation. I have plenty of ideas for businesses, but who knows how good they actually are until they're put to the test. So that's exactly what I'll start doing these next few weeks/months starting with my primary idea at the moment - a reverse job board for software engineers that don't want to grind leetcode/DSA.

I've spoken to a few (2-3) people that are looking for jobs in the industry and seemed to be interested. I know there was a point in time where I would've loved skipping the grind and working in a smaller company (which I still would love). The idea is to create another option in addition to the more standard leetcode/whiteboarding interviews. This way - in theory - engineers can focus more on creating and less on cramming for interviews.
