Hey Fellow podcasters,
I've only been doing my podcast for a few weeks - show 10 next week, but I'm not sure how to get reasonably accurate numbers from. I just use Anchor, which is fine and gives number of listens, but I've got no idea about subscribers etc.
Any thoughts? I figured that Tranistor.fm might be a good way to go, but I'm not sure I'm at that stage yet?
Thanks in advance
Hey Spencer! I wrote a quick guide on the different kinds of numbers you can get from different providers:

Awesome - thanks Justin.
Might sound a bit weird, but I'm stoked you replied too - I've been a follower of yours for sometime.
Nice! Happy to help out with any podcast questions. Let me know if you have more.
Podcast hosts can show you subscribers but it’s just a guess based on how many downloads you get per episode so you can estimate that yourself.
If you want to see more detailed statistics like how long people are listening you can log into Spotify or Apple’s dashboards but it will only include people using those apps.
Here’s the instructions for anchor:

Thanks Jeremy, I’ll check out the links. At least I know I wasn’t going mad about the slight guesswork needed. 🤣
I have a combination of Pinecast metrics and Blubrry or Feedburner (its still going!) tracking in place to monitor my numbers but I’d love to know what others use.
Sweet. I’ll check those out for sure.
Thanks Si
