Gifting as a Growth Hack

Have you ever given away a physical object to grow your brand awareness? I mean this in addition to like token "gifts" at conventions. Have you ever sourced addresses from top prospects and just sent them a box of something interesting or useful?

I'm contemplating making a custom notebook for sponsors and top readers of my newsletter.

For the conferences we've done at Ministry of Testing we've gifted various swag - mugs, tshirts and stickers has been what's given us long term value. We often spot them in the wild and people actually use them as a way to connect with one another at other people's conferences :)

Also nice to see it in the wild on posts like this - https://camelotgroup.co.uk/careers/blog/qa-at-camelot
