Github page for my product - any experience how to do it right?

Hi indies,

I am considering to build a github page for my product bannernote.com - in order to increase my exposure to developers on github.

Github has become an incredible platform for new projects, it has a strong community and a good search function in order to discover new projects and find solutions to developers problems.

Here is my question: Who has build a successful github page for their SAAS product? What are best practices? What is working, what is not working?

    I built a successful GitHub repo, but not for a SaaS. Based on my experience with this and other repos I created, I recommend adding at least one screenshot to README.md and a social preview image under Settings > Social preview. This makes the repo stand out both on GitHub and when sharing to social platforms.
