Github to require 2FA

https://techcrunch.com/2022/05/04/github-will-require-all-users-who-contribute-code-to-enable-two-factor-authentication-by-the-end-of-2023/

Some interesting news: In order to protect the software supply chain, Github is going to require 2FA for anyone who contributes code. This will be in effect next year.

I've heard that Apple is but haven't heard about the others. Maybe Github has been having issues with illegit contributors?
