GitLog - Easily Search GitHub Commit Messages

Hi IH,

I've been working on a small project that I've just launched. Its in a very early preview currently to get feedback and see if there's any demand for a service like so let me know what you think.

What is the Project?

The project uses GitHub webhooks to send notifications to of pushes to your repositories so GitLog can store the push and commit messages against your account. This provides an ability to allow you to easily search for certain commit messages and then view the differences or see the repository at that point in time which GitHub doesn't support.

How did I get this project idea?

I was recently working on a project and hit a bug which I thought that I had previously fixed.

I went to GitHub to search through commit messages looking for keywords I had expected I would have used and couldn't see a way to do it. Upon looking at Google I found a Stackoverflow post indicating that this wasn't possible with a few comments showing they were unhappy as GitHub previously supported it but it got removed in 2013).

How to sign up and what limitation for the early access

You can sign up at https://gitlog.devso.io by signing in with your GitHub account. At the moment as this is very early preview and just seeing what the demand is, if any, its currently free but there is a limitation of 25 pushes being received. Its likely if this project becomes a real product, it would be a paid subscription based on the total pushes you are expected to want to store but haven't fully decided on the exact pricing model as yet.

If you have any feedback good or bad then please let me know.
