Giving away (free) charttt - image charts api and builder

https://charttt.com is a service that generates image charts you can embed anywhere (emails, slack, etc) using a simple API.

I've decided to give it away because I don't have the time to invest in it in parallel with my other project.
Charttt works smoothly and has some traffic. It generates a few thousands charts a day for a small number of users.
It has 3 paying customers ($1/month during beta, I just wanted validation that someone will actually want to pay for it).
I didn't do any marketing for it so it is far from living up to its potential.

I have a vision where I think it has the most value (and need) and there are no competitors in that particular nieche, afaik.

If someone who has the passion and time to invest in it wants to take it, I'll be glad to hand it over.

If you are that someone please reach out.
You can also ask questions in the comments if you want.

Nice you want to give it away for free, there is also microaquire to sell it - I would consider it, because a person paying for it is more likely to make it growing.

Thanks for the advice and link, @Thomas108, I'll look into it

I would second this. Unless you serendipitously find your match put a price on it, if only as a filter.

      Awesome work by the way!

I apreciate your gesture of giving this away for free. But not very comfortable with taking somethng for free.

So if it's still available, do you have a price in mind? If you have listed it in on eof the for sale sites, that url is good too.

What is the server side written in?

      Js running on firebase functions.
Cloudflare workers (also js) in the front for caching

I've used Firebase for a while. The new emulator enabled me to put up my new site it less than 24 hours from idea to go https://questionscount.com/

Yes, it is indeed very easy to use.
Cloudflare also gives almost the same functionality, and it even runs on the edge so it's faster. The only difference is that it's running as a worker and not full blown node server. On one hand it's much faster to start (first request), on the other hand there are small things that you can't do like in node. Unfortunately for me, one of those things is running Canvas on the server side which is why I needed both services. Otherwise everything would just be on cloudflare.

    Hello Dan,
I`m interested from your product - we are creative web agency and I think a lot of our customers will be interested to use this.

How I can connect with you @Danbars

    1. 2

BTW - if you find this interesting as a user (or for your users), I wouldn't recommend that you own such a service.
I can recommend that you signup and use it, but owning it and maintaining it is much more work than using it.

I can even recommend some of the competitors, image-charts.com being the largest one

Please write to me to dan@bar-shalom.com
