Giving This Idea Up and Pursuing Another

I finished the basic MVP functionality of the fitness app, but after speaking with my brother, I've decided to put the launch of this app on hold in pursuit of another. The attached image is the main logo of the fitness app, "kaloree."

I know it's probably not a great thing to do. Would it have been better to have just finished it, and then pursued the next idea? In this case, I don't think it was.

In reading through my journal of business ideas, I recently discovered that all of my ideas have some association with artificial intelligence.

After thinking about some of the new AI models OpenAI came out with earlier this year, and some of the new trends surrounding Web 3.0, there's a great convergence between AI and blockchain happening right now.

One iteration I had, and one that I will indeed pursue, revolves around AI-generated, NFT artworks.

These art pieces will be generated via generative adversarial networks and then sold on the NFT market, with each transference of ownership along the blockchain resulting in royalties to myself.

They will live on the blockchain for as long as the artwork is held in esteem. Or, for that matter, for as long as the market holds in esteem the artist who created the piece.

Art is very special: it gives participants the opportunity to peer into the mind of its creator, the obscure workings and musings of a spirit that transcends the direct apperception of the senses.

In art, all of the minute intricacies matter. An engineer's hypothetical replication of the Mona Lisa will never compare to its original because of what the former in its Icarian capacities seeks but can never in principle understand.

But if the artist is key in this value equation, how can I create a personality surrounding the artwork I artificially construct?

Perhaps the answer lies in generating diverse personalities, or 'kids', that will serve as their poster children.

Their tokenized identities will live just as happily on the blockchain as their own artwork.

They will be the personal brands behind every new artwork I create, iterating and responding to stimuli across all of its social media.

Their behavior will be reinforced by the surrounding environment I privilege it to attend and overcome.

A recursive development will thus accrue to its internal workings as it becomes what it is rewarded by, and what it becomes it can now accomplish.

The kids will gather, learn from each other, and generate as duos or trios.

I still need to work out this idea. I feel this has great potential and is literally on the cusp of cutting-edge technology in AI and blockchain. One of the models was only recently replicated and open-sourced on PyTorch, https://github.com/lucidrains/DALLE-pytorch.

I still don't know if the technology is there yet for this idea to actually work. I believe in dreaming big, but in the Indie Hacker spirit, also creating small.

This is a good thing, not a bad thing. But what will be my differentiation? Lots to think about.
