Goal: get first paying customer (day 22)

Yesterday:

  • Worked on my first integration (with Hubspot). I'm almost there but will need to continue today.
  • Added an onboarding flow for new users to make it easier for them to send their first email.
  • 1 new registered user 🎉 (5 total after release on Friday).

Today:

  • Will need to fix some bugs on the onboarding.
  • Fix copy/maybe renew design of the landing page to explain what we do better: help you have all your contacts in one place by connecting with all the tools you already use.
  • Continue coding.

Sounds cool @keyserfaty and congrats on the big milestone - I've tried and using many email services and integration. I wonder what makes Palabra better and how would you envision the future development? It would be awesome to start a conversation among email marketing.

Hey, thanks Felix. The big difference between Palabra another email marketing tools is that we focus on helping you gather as much information as possible about your subscribers (connecting with tools like Stripe, Intercom and Hubspot) to help you send personalized emails. So, basically, you don't tag your subscribers like you would on Mailchimp if someone buys your product. We import your contacts from Stripe and we tell you that they did.
We just launched a new version of our landing page that will hopefully make that more clear: https://www.palabra.io/?ref=indie

My pleasure @keyserfaty - this pitch is very clear and better, would you consider including these languages on your new landing page?

I've checked the new landing. Very nice branding and design!

I'm very sensitive towards email marketing tools and a big believer in email marketing. I've tried many usual suspects and also for the venture fund who invested SendGrid.

Would love to see how to take Palabra forward!

    Karen,
This is interesting. I did some quick research to find out what you're building and like to make a suggestion if that helps. Maybe A/B test this out but I think this could help you get more customers trialing.

Your website is simple to read and clear on CTA - "Get Started for Free". Then you explain what you get. My only thought would be to help the customer identify if they are the right fit for your product at the top. By doing this, you don't have to do too much overselling of the value, just deliver on it with your solutions.

You have: Send personalized emails with ease - Connect your tools to import contacts and use our smart filtering to send personalized emails.

Perhaps helping them self identify gives them a leg up on why they should try your product out. Maybe..."Are you running a blog or website and can't find the time to create more personalized emails for your subscribers?

Palabra centralizes your email contacts in one place, helps you write and send personalized emails and then tracks your email performance giving you insights to improve your overall customer engagement via email".

Identify myself: Yes I run a website.
Problem that I have: Yes time is precious and I need more of it to email people
Secondary Problem: Managing contacts and knowing who is new, or recent etc (tagging is not easy in systems like Mailchip, etc)
How can your solution help: Centralize email contacts (thats helpful)
Help me write and send personalized emails (I'd like to see that)
Track email performance and give me insights (that's valuable)

Hope that helps, just something I saw when I read your post....keep up the good work.

Hey Eric, thanks for the thoughtful comment. Wanted to do some work on the website before getting back to you. We just released a new version: https://www.palabra.io/?ref=indie
Your comment has been extremely helpful. It's funny how easy it is to see this sort of thing on other people's websites but hard to see it on your own. Would love your comments on the new version.

Wow... that's a whole lot clearer and I could immediately think of 4 people with business that I know who need it.

My gutt reaction is to that there still could use something at the top that helps me/them identify why I should even read on and entertain this.

My first load experience was ....
When I first saw the page load, I saw "Subscribers who are on a free plan". The text was the biggest thing on the top part... so I started thinking what is that... then I saw it change and read the line above it - "send an email to".

As I scrolled down, I thought, if there is a product that can help me see where those people are, which ones have or have not acted and suggested me some prompts along the way, that would be huge. Where do I sign up :-).

Iteration looks good and clearer for sure. Kudos and I won't split hairs on this. Just something to consider. The action that users are going to use your product for isn't what you have in bold. That's the outcome of using your product right. The product helps them to identify the who and then send the emails based on the journey. How can that be made clear so they don't say, but I can use HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc to do just that?

After looking through it again. Your CTA is "send them an email", then its "Send your first email".

Can you share what is the most powerful differentiator? If its collecting information from the different places and helping them identify their open/click through rates, what would the CTA be? Send an email or ingest and discover?

Hey, thank you for your comments. I've actually made some changes based on the comments. Would you mind taking a look again? https://www.palabra.io/?ref=indie
