Hi All, I have been thinking to start building SAAS product since some time but was always confused on what to build, what is the right product to build.
Today i have decided that rather than worrying too much on what to build, i should start building with simple things and start publishing one by one.
I have decided, i will start with building simple shopify apps in the beginning, then move to complex ones, I am going to publish atleast one shopify app every 30 days (initially thought about 20 days, but as app publishing may involve some process beyond my assumed timeline, decided to go ahead with 30 days for safe side).
So one shopify every 30 days for next 90 days, then 3 shopify apps in last 30 days. I will keep publishing my update here, also my youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/@BuildAndPublishShopifyApps which I made just now.
how is this going?
Looking forward to checking out your content once you get some up on YouTube. In my experience, the best way to get better is to continuously build and complete projects, even if you think they may not be perfect.
What are you building first?
I've got a similar mentality. You have to push through that "perfectionism" and just get that MVP out, right?
I get shiny object syndrome and get sidetracked.
Key is to execute the idea then refine later (I believe).
Best of luck, keep me posted as I used Shopify for my clients, so could potentially refer if the apps are helpful.
Thanks, will do that.
Do you already know what the apps are going to he about? Or will you figure that out as you go?
i have two apps in mind, but rest will figure out on the go.
Nice plan! What are you going to do if some app takes off? Will you focus on the successfull one or keep building new apps?
That's highly unlinkely, will decide based on situation.
Good luck! Curious to see where this journey takes you!
Thank You
Good luck on your adventure! I have just given you a follow on Youtube and look forward to see the progress you make
Thank you so much for your encouragement

Thanks @JohnMartin1
My aim to build Shopify apps daily and aiming to publish 5 apps in the next 120 days is an ambitious yet achievable goal. The key is to focus on solving real merchant problems, ensuring seamless integrations, and creating user-friendly designs. With consistent effort, testing, and feedback, you will be able to create impactful apps for the Shopify ecosystem.
Thanks, for your input. These things ofcourse has to be taken care, and will be taken care, have plan for these already.
Great to see you set a deadline and you'll start sharing your journey! Best of lucks!
Thanks you @txordy, good to see your comment and encouragement.
Hi Satyajit, what is your reason for choosing to build Shopify apps?
I have been planning to build something for way too long and not doing anything, I feel that I can build anything and everything but unable to finalize on any single product which i want to build. This is definitely not a good state to be in and not doing anything is definitely worst thing in the world. I have built simple android apps, ios apps but never published, i have built shopify app for my own D2C store but never published on shopify store. I have created web app to reduce RTO for Indian D2C stores, never published and i am kind of tired of this loop.
So today I decided that, I am gonna start with shopify apps, will publish copy of atleast 5 most used shopify apps but better in terms of stability and reliability.
Once i am done with that, I will review, and decide the next course of action.
The exact why? I don't know, just felt like starting with shopify apps, so i am doing it.
You want to clear out the psychological blockage preventing you from launching. You have experience with Shopify apps (own a D2C store) and are associated with the e-commerce industry. So 5 Shopify apps in 120 days. Understood. Good luck.
Yes, perfect summarization. Thank you.
