I was interested in the topic, but the audio quality makes it difficult to listen to with headphones. There's a crackling sound playing from the guest recording. I also recommend recording locally on both your computer and the guest's computer to avoid distortion due to network problems. One of the simplest ways to do this for remote recordings is to use a service like Zencastr.

You may already be doing this, but if not I recommend that you and your guest wear headphones and use an external mic (not a built in laptop mic).
For guests, that could be something as simple as the earbuds that come with an iPhone.
For yourself you may want to consider investing in a Q2U or ATR2100. They are both great microphones that are relatively affordable.
Zencastr also has an postproduction feature that can help improve the audio quality.
