Hey Indie Hackers community,
I wanted to take a moment today to talk about my product, "Hypersuggest", and how, despite its potential, it isn't thriving as it should be. The reason I'm writing this is not just to express my frustration but also to ask for your insights, advice, and maybe hear about your own experiences navigating this wild journey of product building and marketing.
Before I get to that, let me introduce you to Hypersuggest. It's a tool designed to help businesses and content creators understand their audience better by providing highly targeted keyword suggestions based on their input. It was built with the vision to simplify and streamline the content creation process by taking the guesswork out of what your audience might be looking for.
The fascinating aspect is, Hypersuggest is a good product. It is robust, it is accurate, and it does what it promises. We've heard from the few who have used it that it's incredibly helpful, saving time and effort in brainstorming content ideas, and providing insights that might not have been uncovered otherwise.
Despite this, Hypersuggest hasn't taken off the way we hoped it would. Its footprint in the market is still fairly small, overshadowed by other products that, in my admittedly biased opinion, offer less value for the money.
Now, this isn't to say that those more successful products are bad per se, or that their makers don't deserve their success. Far from it. This post is more about the puzzling disparity between the value offered by Hypersuggest, and the attention it's getting. It's like we're whispering in a hurricane, with the roar of other voices drowning us out.
One theory is that it's a marketing issue. Are we simply not reaching the right people, or not communicating the product's benefits effectively? Another possibility is that our pricing model isn't appealing. Perhaps we're either too expensive for the perceived value, or paradoxically, so cheap that people assume it can't be a high-quality solution.
Another theory is that the market is simply saturated. There are a lot of tools out there promising to optimize your content creation process. Has Hypersuggest fallen into the "not another one of these" category, its unique features unnoticed?
Whatever the case may be, I'm turning to this amazing community for help. We've all been there at one point or another, feeling that our product deserves more attention than it's getting. I'm hoping to learn from your experiences, your successes, and even your failures.
So, fellow indie hackers, I implore you: If you have any advice, suggestions, or observations that could help us shine a light on Hypersuggest, please don't hold back. What strategies have you used to set your product apart? How have you dealt with market saturation or marketing challenges? Any thoughts on pricing? Or perhaps you've had a similar experience with a good product that just didn't take off?
Your insights would be invaluable to us, and hopefully to others who are facing the same struggle. Looking forward to reading your responses.
Best, Sebastian
