Good product demos?
Hi everyone,
What are your favorite product demos?
I'm seeking inspiration for my project workcalmly.com – A gamified focus timer that helps you DO the work and ship your project without burning out.
I have a simple demo video right now, but I'm not convinced it demos the product well. It also doesn't show any impact on conversion right now.
I've looked in many places. Yet, I haven't found really good demos, so I'm curious about your favorites.
I'd also be grateful for tips on how I could improve my demo! 🙏🏼

Thank you! I appreciate it 🙏🏼 It's actually just a plain screen recording. Then I used CapCut to zoom in follow the cursor and add audio.
I'm thinking about doing an updated one with https://www.screen.studio/ as I launched some new features and screen.studio seems like it will turn out great.
I have a full demo on my landing page (tatask.com) that doesn't save any data so users can play around as much as they like. Previously I had a demo video and since changing to a live demo my conversion has gone up significantly.
Having looked at your site though, I think your current video is the best option because it's hard to demo the benefits of your timer without users having to wait on the page for ages so speeding through it in a video is a good option.

I think the best demo is being able to see the product for yourself, and let the product speak.

I have built Holoib, a tool that allows users to create interactive product demos. I think it can be a solution for you.
Hey I recommend you install Microsoft Clarity and view recorded sessions to better understand visitor behavior. Maybe people don’t even click on the demo.
That's true, but my thumbnail is also crap :D Maybe 2 things to measure first: do people view and then do they click :)
I actually like your demo, it’s easy to understand and it’s a nice showcase. I would change the title of the video to remove the word Beta as it made me feel like it’s not a finished product.
If you are looking for something more interactive, I’ve used Arcade (arcade.software) in the past and it works great!

Engaging with potential users through a clear, concise walkthrough might enhance your demo. But I switched to having a team who could give live demos too. It helps understanding the customer closely and give me exactly what they want.
