Good product research follows the same structure. I turned it into a tool.

About two months ago, someone asked me to help write an interview script for their validation research. While explaining the structure and techniques, I realized: after six years of UX research, the topics always change, but the underlying logic stays the same.

I'd been working with AI a lot, and thought: this is finally something that can be automated well. Not by throwing a prompt at an LLM, but by combining proven methods like The Mom Test, Jobs to be Done, and Double Diamond with research-specific variables into something that actually works.

I was surprised: using Fieldgyde taught me things. After all these years of doing research, I started to see more clearly which types of questions work at which stage, and why. The scripts it generates now are better than most I've written myself, and most I've seen in the wild.

That's the goal: help you write better interview scripts, and get better at the craft while you're at it.
