Hey everyone,
We've been planning the launch of Raport beta for a long time now. Raport is a SaaS that allows you to analyze data from multiple sources in one app. We prepared everything and gathered over 50 emails on our waiting list.
Yesterday was supposed to be a very exciting day but we run into an unexpected obstacle from Google.
Hereās what happened
Google treats data coming from Google Analytics as sensitive. Because of that, Google requires verification from any app that asks users for access to this data (including Raport).
Until Google verifies Raport, it displays this dangerously looking alert when you try to connect a data source.

We submitted Raport for verification in Google but this process is said to take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks! We did not expect it to be that long.
It was difficult for us to agree on what to do. In the end we decided to share Raport beta without further delay. So we emailed people from our waiting list to let them know that they can register. We also included information about the situation we're facing.
But we don't promote Raport anywhere else yet because we're afraid that people will not trust us.
What do you guys think? Is it a dealbreaker or is it something that beta version can get away with? Please let me know in the comments.
Co-founder here. Just to add to this post, we got 7 users so far and the product is in beta testing phase so access is free.
If you're among the brave ones you can create an account as well :)
We assure you that you can trust us with your data. You can read about our approach to data privacy and security on our website.
