I opened Search Console, chose the Generative AI report, set the date range to three months and sorted the Pages table by impressions.
The report contained 357 pages. The first five were:
The first 10 pages totalled 22,736 impressions. That is 46.4% of all 48,993 impressions in the report. The leading page alone held 11.4%.
This concentration gives the work two queues. The first queue protects pages that already earn a large share of exposure. The second queue finds pages with smaller totals and a clear query that the page can answer more directly.

Open Performance, then Generative AI. Choose three months and select Pages.
Record the total impressions, number of pages and last date in the chart. For this run, the baseline was 48,993 impressions across 357 pages from May 18 through August 13.
A seven-day view can move sharply after one busy day. The three-month view gives each page enough history to compare with the rest of the site.
Save the date with the numbers. Search Console updates the report, so a screenshot without a date becomes hard to check later.
Add the impressions from the first 10 rows and divide that number by the site total.
For Distribb:
22,736 ÷ 48,993 = 46.4%
Then calculate the leading page's share:
5,586 ÷ 48,993 = 11.4%
The first percentage tells you how concentrated the report is. The second tells you how much one page can change the site's total.
Keep both calculations beside the date. Repeat them after the next review so you can see whether exposure is spreading across more useful pages or collecting around one old article.
Open each of the first 10 pages and check the page a tired reader will see today.
Do not rewrite a page simply because it is first in the table. A working page may need one corrected number or one clearer opening paragraph. Record the exact edit so the next comparison has a useful change to measure.
The lower part of the table is where the next useful update can hide.
In this version of the Google Search Console AI report, the breakdown tabs were Pages, Countries, Devices and Days. The view did not show search queries.
Open the normal Search Console Performance report for the same URL and inspect the queries attached to that page. Pick a page when one query matches the product, the existing article gives an incomplete answer and the page already has repeat impressions.
A page with 200 impressions and one clear query may be easier to improve than a page with 900 impressions spread across unrelated searches.
Put each candidate in a queue with its URL, current impressions, query, intended answer, owner and review date.
Click a row in the Pages table to isolate that URL.
The leading Distribb page had 5,586 impressions in the unfiltered table. The filtered view rounded the total to 5.59K and showed its daily pattern across the same three-month window.

Write down the date before editing. Make one coherent update and list every field you changed. Then use the Days tab to compare the page before and after that date.
The chart can show that exposure changed after an edit. It cannot prove the edit caused the change because search demand, competitors and Google can change at the same time.
The total card in this report is impressions. An impression shows exposure in Google's generative AI features. It does not say that someone clicked, signed up or bought.
Use three records together: AI impressions from this report, clicks and queries from the normal Performance report, and conversions from analytics or your CRM.
A page can earn more impressions while sending no new business. That result still tells you the page is appearing, but it needs a clearer route from the answer to the next action.
Keep the same table each week. The useful result is a dated record of which page changed, what changed and what happened next.

The Generative AI view in this snapshot listed pages, countries, devices and days, while the normal Performance report is where you can inspect query data for a URL. Pair the page-level AI exposure with the query that already brings the page into search.
No. An impression records exposure, while a click records a visit. Track the page in the normal Performance report and your analytics so you can separate visibility from traffic and sales.
Review them first because they hold a large share of current exposure. Rewrite only when the answer, evidence, screenshot or link is stale or unclear. In this Distribb report, the top 10 pages held 46.4% of all impressions, so a careless edit to one of them could affect a large part of the total.
There is no fixed batch size in this data. Start with one page when you need a clean before-and-after record. The 10 leading Distribb pages formed the review list, while the actual refresh queue contained only pages with a specific problem and a clear query match.
