Got 1200 users in 2 weeks, now how will I keep them? [My Plans]

For those who haven't read my last post, I acquired over 1200 paying users in a little over a week and half. I did this through building a Saas based on my audiences biggest pain point and ensuring I solved that.

Now, HOW DO I KEEP ALL THESE PEOPLE??

Here's my plan for those curious about my retention strategy.

Again, these are just ideas and I'll give you a more comprehensive report on these actually impacted the retention stats in about a month or two!

  1. Customer success - I hired a part-time support person who lives in the US (for fluent English skills). This is a huge deal to me because if my users don't understand or are confused, I want them to have an almost instant response that solves their question and empathizes in the first interaction. I was doing this myself but it was taking too much time.

  2. Building Features - When I launched, I launched the MVP. The least amount of software that solves the biggest problem and I solved that problem so well that I got the signups; however, it is still missing a lot of crucial features. I am currently building out the features I feel are most needed based on user feedback and that will result in people using the product more (aka what will make them come back into my software and stay. For me, this is email and text alerts among other things).

  3. User Interviews - I looked through my site metrics and found my top users by usage and with the highest Net Promoter Score. I messaged them personally with a detailed list of questions after congratulating them and attaching a link to schedule a call with me. This way I can understand why my top users bought, use the software every day and more.

  4. Gamification - There is a private community that all the users can join. Inside this, they automatically level up roles based on various actions like activity. Also, I will be implementing a referral program that will allow people to get a free month, free year, etc with a rating board to turn that into a competition as well.

Over the past 2 weeks, I have seen great success implementing much needed software improvements and a dedicated customer support person!

If you have any retention ideas or have a question, please let me know!
