Got 5 minutes to test an app prototype?

Wimit is an app that helps you find a place, date and time to meet your friends. An unusual thing to do these days but hopefully we'll be out and about again soon.

Can you help test this prototype?

Thank you

Looks good, but instead of going back and forth on the location, it would be nice to give multiple options for the location, the same way you do for time.
Other than that, the flow is smooth and understandable.

Nice one. Got stuck a few places, but hopefully analytics will show. Also, would be interesting if you shared the results from the test with us 👌🏻

Thanks Jan – a couple of interesting points to share about this test:

      • 110 people started and 13 finished – completion rate 12%
      • In response to the question "how would you describe Wimit to a friend" 80% of the people found the right words which is encouraging
      • The heat maps gave us a lot more data to validate design assumptions

We have been doing user research in-person but now with coronavirus in town we had to change tack and do it remotely – we'll definitely keep doing it.

Thanks for sharing, Jiannis! In your experience, what is the biggest challenge in going from in-person to remote regarding user research?

I'd say remote user research, whether moderated or un-moderated, requires a bit more preparation and tooling.

One of the things we had to change for example at this stage with social distancing measures in place is that you can't just walk over to someone and hand them a phone with your prototype – we had to come up with a remote friendly setup.

Hehe yeah, can’t imagine the coffee shop test working right now.

Have only been doing web apps modersted and it works surprisingly smooth. I can only imagine for mobile, if you require your participants to hold the device, how difficult it might be.

    Tested, good luck!

Looks great. I will definitely use it once the current crisis ends!

    This is a great idea!

    Done and good luck!

I like the process of getting to know an app through scenarios. A bit long but very easy to understand and navigate.
