Got $7M for 7.5%

Today, while searching for my daily AI tools, I came across an AI app that caught my attention - the impressive AI VC Funding tool by Bain Capital Ventures.

I was excited to test it out and see how much funding I could raise for my idea. After exchanging a few messages, I received an offer of $7 million for a 7.5% stake, which according to their valuation, would value my idea at a whopping $93 million. Although I knew it wasn't real, it still gave me a dopamine hit.

You can also use this tool to pitch your ideas and get an estimate of how much funding you could potentially raise. It's a great way to practice your pitching skills.

For those concerned about privacy, I can personally confirm that the tool does not retain any of your session data after you close the website.

Here's how it works:

Simply visit https://ai-vc-negotiation.vercel.app/ and start pitching without having to sign up.

Here's my pitch to the AI...

A handheld device that can create portals in walls. When the device is fired at a wall a blue portal will be created. Then a second orange portal can be created by shooting another at a second wall. Humans and objects can enter the portals and instantly be transported to a new location. The portals close when the device is used again leaving no damage on the walls.

I'm willing to invest $1 million for a 10% equity

The problem with tools like this is they give you a false sense of validation. No rational investor would take my idea seriously. An idea alone really isn't worth anything.

When investors get a pitch, they look at the team creating it, market demand, existing customer base, testimonials, references, current technology, competition, etc.

That said, there are plenty examples of irrational VC investments. This is what caused the dot com bubble and many other bubbles in history. It happens because they throw money at 10 ideas and only one of them needs to succeed. When the cost of capital is low market bubbles form and eventually pop (taking out the weakest business with it)

The AI has no skin in the game, it can say whatever it wants without putting up real money.

The AI VC Funding tool by Bain Capital Ventures is intriguing, but without a signed NDA, there's a risk in sharing sensitive ideas. Users should exercise caution regarding data privacy and intellectual property.

My idea of: “ Uber for soft serve ice cream” won me a million dollar offer.

Off to the mall to pickup a Model X on credit while I wait for my check to arrive!

I got a 1 million dollar offer for 15% stake for facebook for school, I should be able to make it work.

I received $5 million for a 10% in Receipt-AI.com. After I made my pitch, I simply asked for a number. I wasn't really looking for investments, but the AI asked some good questions.

I think it's great fun. Not completely useless tho since you can get feedback for free on important points that will be brought up at a real conversation.

How much of your business information did you have to give in other to obtain a projection?

  11. 2

    i got $500k for 5%

    Definitely a cool idea

This is a cool idea. Having said that one has to consciously make sure that they are not getting a false sense of hope.

Looks interesting! Will try it out...

This is so funny. It felt like the AI was not a very strong negotiator. Initially, it wanted to give me $5m for 10% equity, but kept on battering it and got all the way to $10m for 12% equity. Insightful conversation, felt like I was speaking to some strange alterego.

it's not real but fun, howerver ,the real deal always is much more complicated than a simple model,as a person have raised over 3 rounds money....

I really like the title you used, its really engaging

Fun fact: I use it for other normal tasks too, like asking for marketing advice. Basically, it's ChatGPT, so you can ask anything – not just pitching.
