I just got my first payment, straight into my bank account.
This was for the month of December 2021, where most of my customers were on Gumroad. I don't feel like taking the time to set up banking information there 😅
It feels amazing, even if it's a small amount 😊 Just the fact that people are willing to buy my tiny app makes me so thrilled 😎
My next payout will be 10x to 20x. Here's why:
Good thing I have been accepted to the Apple Small Business program. This means apple takes only 15% of the profits instead of 30% 🤯. For an indie maker, this is invaluable.
Now, one thing I think I gotta stop doing is distributing so many free coupon codes 😂 Every time someone seems hesitant to buy, my default response is to give a coupon code...
But anyway, if you want to know more:
Cheers 🙏
Congrats! It must feel great :)
Thanks Allison 😊 It feels pretty good haha
Now looking forward to bigger paydays 😎😄
Congrats Maxime, you can optimize it for sure and get more clients, this is a spark that can turn into fire.
For sure Mike, thanks for the support 😊🔥 I'm excited to see the new report for January in my App Store Connect dashboard 😄 I think it's going to be 10x. Hopefully, Feb is also going to be 10x (I'm not sure this growth is sustainable 😂).
Congrats maxime 🔥🔥
Thanks Dago 😎
Brilliant Maxime!! I've seen the work you've been putting in 🔥🔥🔥
Hoping to be in your place in two months!
You know it Ashish, there is no shortcut to hard work 😄
For sure you will be there, just be consistent 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Congrats, Maxime!!! I am very new to this whole topic of marketing. As an engineer (also at work) I always just did the implementation. Also in my current indie project with my husband he is taking over the selling/marketing stuff (besides development). Can you maybe explain what you mean with cold sale? Do you just send cold mails to random people? Or do you have a "system" here? And on reddit, I made the experience that people just downvote me when I present my idea. So how can you promote your app on Reddit without being roasted?
Thank you Damla 😊
So basically, the definition of cold sale (or at least my definition 😅) is trying to "sell" something to someone that didn't you or didn't know about your product beforehand.
To me, this takes the form of using the Twitter and Reddit search engines, which are extremely powerful to target customers, and simply leaving them a message (DM or reply - I've been doing replies lately).
I am having the same problem 😅 Check this out. It is extremely valuable and will help you step your game up 👌
I hope this help, and as you already know I'm rooting for your success 😎
Thanks a lot, Maxime! The part of the book about how to make attention to the app is very valuable for me. I am very active in some subreddits as a consumer but too shy I guess to ask for interested customers on the subreddits where the actual target audience is in. I will try these things out definitely.
🙏😊
