Hey guys, I'm the founder of jobfly.co and we finally got our first paying customer the other day. The site has only been live for about a week, so I was happy to see we got a paying customer without any marketing or sales effort.
With that being said, yesterday I started posting a lot on twitter and engaging with people which drove a little under 1,000 page views. Not a single person I drove to the site via twitter converted.
I think its important to understand not all channels work for every business model. I personally will be sticking with SEO to drive traffic from now on. It's so important to ensure the people visiting your site are there because of intent; That they are there because they actively looked for your service. It's been a trend lately to build a community/following first, yet jumping on social media and building a community just for the heck of it isn't always going to convert into sales for some.
