Like many SEO workflows, keyword research sounds simple… until you actually start doing it.
Search a keyword → open multiple SEO tools → export keyword lists → organize spreadsheets → manually group keywords into clusters.
After doing this repeatedly, I realized most of my time wasn’t spent thinking about strategy. It was spent organizing data.
And the strange part was this:
The most useful insights were already visible in Google search results, but we were analyzing them in completely separate tools.
So I started thinking:
What if keyword clustering could happen directly inside the search results?
That idea turned into a small Chrome extension called KeywordCluster.
Instead of exporting keywords and managing spreadsheets, the extension helps you discover:
related keyword clusters
long-tail keyword opportunities
patterns in search intent
…while you’re searching on Google or Bing.
The goal wasn’t to build another complex SEO platform.
I simply wanted something that fits naturally into the existing research workflow.
If you search for something like:
"email marketing tools"
You’ll quickly notice related queries such as:
best email marketing tools
email marketing automation tools
free email marketing tools
email marketing tools for ecommerce
These are not just keywords — they’re content opportunities.
Instead of treating them separately, they can become a topic cluster around a main pillar page.
That’s the kind of structure modern SEO strategies rely on.
Most SEO tools are powerful, but they often feel disconnected from how research actually happens.
People don’t start their research in dashboards.
They start on Google.
So the idea behind the extension was simply:
Bring keyword clustering closer to where discovery already happens.
The extension was recently launched and is currently free to use.

Since many people here are builders, I’d love to hear your thoughts:
Do you use keyword clustering in your SEO workflow?
How do you usually organize keyword research?
Are there features you wish SEO tools handled better?
Any feedback would be incredibly helpful while improving the product.
Thanks!
