GPT-3: How to optimize queries/prompts?
I am working on a start-up idea that includes a step where I need to simplify text in a foreign language. My goal is to use GPT-3 for this. However, after burning through a double-digit amount of money on GPT-3 via the playground and the API I am left with a lot of doubts: Some queries work well, some less well but there is no repeatability. I have a really hard time to find the best prompt to query the API to simplify text.
Did any of you have a similar experience? Which resources did you use to optimize queries? How did you avoid burning through $100s to find a good, working query that does not work on a single example but repeatedly? I am on a solo dev budget for a side project so I cannot afford to experiment so much.
