Can you elaborate how this works technically? Does it classify network requests? How does the youtube blocking work?
What value does this bring over uBlock Origin and Sponsorblock for youtube (which is crowsourced, so big or old videos work fairly well)?
It blocks network requests using Chrome's declarativeNetRequest API compatible with mv3.
The value over uBlock Origin is future-proofing as uBlock Origin uses mv2, and the youtube sponsor blocking. The value over the already existing Sponsorblock is that this sponsor blocking is fully automated with AI. This means it will work with any video with auto-generated English subtitles, new or old.
Just tried it. Super cool stuff!
