GPT4 just launched. How to use and quick details

GPT4 just came out.

Here is the quick hit list of details.

  1. You can use it today if you are ChatGPT Plus subscriber ($20 a month)
  2. You get 100 GPT4 messages per 4 hours
  3. API access is not yet public
  4. You can sign up for the API waitlist here - https://openai.com/waitlist/gpt-4-api
  5. GPT4 can take in, and generate up to 25,000 words, which is about 8x more than ChatGPT.
  6. GPT4 understands text and pictures, meaning it can understand images and express ideas about them.
  7. It outputs only text. (no Dalle integration etc)
  8. GPT4 training finished in August 2022. They have been putting in guardrails since then.
  9. In internal evaluations, GPT-4 is 82% less likely to respond to requests for disallowed content
  10. 40% more likely to produce accurate, factual responses than GPT-3.5.
  11. Price for 8k token (about 6000 words) model is $0.03/1k prompt tokens
  12. Open AI does not currently offer fine-tuning using GPT-4.
  13. GPT-4 still has many known limitations, social biases, hallucinations, and adversarial prompts are all still a problem.
