Over the last few months, I kept noticing the same thing happening around me.
People with real skills, good experience, and strong backgrounds were applying to dozens — sometimes hundreds — of jobs and hearing absolutely nothing back.
Not even a rejection.
Just silence.
At first I thought the problem was competition. The market is tough, especially in tech. But after digging deeper, I realized something else was happening.
A lot of candidates never even reached recruiters.
Their resumes were being filtered out by ATS systems before a human ever saw them.
And honestly, it felt weird.
People spend years learning skills, building projects, studying, improving themselves… and then get rejected because their resume structure, wording, or missing keywords don’t match what software expects.
So I started asking a question:
What if we could help people improve the signal instead of changing who they are?
That idea became CVBoosta.
We started building an AI-powered tool focused on helping users understand how their resumes perform and where they may be losing opportunities.
Instead of simply generating another generic resume template, we wanted something more practical.
CVBoosta analyzes ATS compatibility, identifies weak areas, detects missing keywords, helps tailor resumes to specific roles, and gives users actionable improvements.
The goal isn't gaming hiring systems.
The goal is helping people present themselves better.
We're still early.
We're shipping constantly, improving features, testing ideas, fixing mistakes, and learning as we go.
We've already started seeing users return and tell us they got stronger match scores and more responses after making improvements.
That's honestly the most rewarding part.
This is also only step one.
The long-term vision is much larger than resume optimization. We want to build tools that help people throughout the whole job-search process — matching, preparation, guidance, and smarter workflows.
I'd genuinely love feedback from other founders here.
Have you experienced similar hiring problems yourself?
And if you've built products in the career or hiring space, what worked and what completely failed?
Would appreciate any thoughts.
