Hey fellow hackers! It's been a while since my last post here but it's because I was growing my audience in another field and language. I managed to create a community of Russian-speaking nomads, remote workers, and potential immigrants.
I tried to come up with ideas on how to monetize the community, to find successful examples, but no luck. Every article I stumbled across was either about creating info products (books, courses etc) or making a paid subscription to en exclusive content.
Now I'm wondering if there are any interesting examples of monetization of an audience not through info products.
Do you know any?
Listen to 'The Nathan Barry Show' podcast #70, second half. She talks about selling action lists and quick/easy action content vs courses. Pretty brilliant stuff that's sort of f*cked up (in a good way) my concept of course/info product creation and sales.
Also, I'd ask you the following question: Why are you resistant to selling subscriptions to your content? Suggest listening to Sam Parr interviews on Indiehackers podcast where he DESTROYS (with reason) anyone who's reluctant to charge real money for what they make.
I want to create a product like an app or service. If I play subscription move then I need to focus on content creation only, but I don't want to make it a media business. That's it :)
I've seen some communities with relevant ads and usually, it is not distracting. There should be some filter though - if I see an ad looking like a scam, I leave the group right away.
Thank you, Karim 😉
Hey! I've been following the channel for long time! High quality content!
Regarding the question I can only come up with some SaaS product, but not sure what exactly 😅
😍Thank youuuu!
Hey Artem!
One thing that came to mind would be creating an opportunities/job board that companies could pay to post on.
Depending on the niche of your community, it could be a really great way to connect talent with opportunities!
Good luck :)
