I am a 4th year engineering student from Brampton, Ontario Canada. After waiting in line for 2 hours at a local grocery store I was shocked that there is nothing like this out there yet. So I decided to make it myself.
The purpose of Grocerline is to help provide accurate grocery store data to people during COVID-19. I recently noticed that the lines at grocery stores have been very long and this information is currently not available on Google's popular feature. I also found that other minor details such as dedicated senior hours were not available on Google, thus I decided to make this platform to collect that data and help people like yourself and I plan our grocery trips better amid COVID-19.
At this early phase, we ask users like you and me to submit our data into the application. Every time we visit a store, please find that store on this application and submit the crowd level. Through this, we will be able to build a database of patterns of crowd level and also will be able to see in time data of the crowd at a grocery store.
We also ask that you submit the Dedicated Senior Hours data of stores as well. You can submit that on the bottom of the store’s detail page.
To add, none of your data will be sold or used otherwise. Every time you submit the data, we only get that data i.e crowd level. We do not track who submits and where they submit this data from.
I get a blank page whenever I submit a request :/
Hey! Thank you for checking it out. Could you help me out by telling me what you were searching?
Well I’m not an American nor do I live there ( I live in Jamaica), so I’m not familiar with many grocery stores except the big brands.
I searched for Walmart and I searched the 90210 area code 🤷♂️😕
Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate it and will fix it.
