Growing a Newsletter Powered By AI

Here are some suggestions for writing a post seeking growth advice:

Hi, my name is Samer, I have been programming for 10+ years, and recently with the rise of artificial intelligence, I think there are a lot of opportunities that have not been fully tapped into.

Recently I started to work on code that uses OpenAI and multiple API data points every day to write up stock market newsletters. The idea is to have AI put together market breakdown and outlook by feeding it live market data and news from multiple sources and endpoints.

I would like some advice on growing a newsletter; where should I market this? Should I be buying ads? If yes, from where?

Do you recommend any strategy or tactics for gaining signups? Let me know if you have any recommendations!

Below I have a link to the website. Currently, I have a description of the production and the opportunity to join the waitlist.

Been doing this for Micro SaaS Ideas and grew to 20,000 subscribers with active community around Micro SaaS Builders.

Newsletter definitely takes time. Some learning from growing my newsletter.

    1. There is no 80/20 rule. You have to hit 100% every single time.
    2. You are as good as your last newsletter issue for existing subscribers
    3. Longer newsletter doesn’t mean always good content
    4. Make the issue crisp, and easily digestible.
    5. Even for a free newsletter, your reader is paying their time and attention.

Some ideas on growing the newsletters.

    1. Build Side-projects and plan with launches on BetaList, ProductHunt
    2. Do cross-promotions with other newsletters of similar audience and size
    3. Try to reach out influencers in your space. They are always on a lookout for good newsletters, content to send to their audience.
    4. Leverage appropriate Subreddits and IH too.
    5. Ask subscribers to refer to more people or setup a referral mechanism.

Subreddit has worked so far for us for https://only-engineers.beehiiv.com/

But beware, people can get really upset if anything looks even the slightest bit spammy or a bunch don’t allow self promotion.

And one upset persons comment on reddit will cause all other people that see the comment less likely to engage.

And try to avoid the Trojan Horse/Guerrilla Marketing on posts.

But other than that would love to keep updated on your journey and any success the newsletter reaches.
