Growth (marketing) hacks by to-do-list apps

Guys, now I need your help. I'm looking for best practices regarding marketing hacks that are either implemented or carried out by to-do-list apps such as Trello, Todoist, TeuxDeux, Wunderlist and so on. Could you share your thoughts on this issue? I will be thankful.

I don't know without researching, I'm curious as to why you want to know - maybe that will help us answer what you want to know.

Rosie, My aim is not wasting your and others here time to do research. I really appreciate your willingness, though. Generally, I'm just curious if someone from IndieHackers community has experience from this field. Why did I ask? Because if there is an opportunity to exchange know-how from this field. Currently, I'm doing some growth experiments but I'm feeling that I'm running out of ideas/ ways to do more.

Yeah, I'm just wondering if there is a specific reason for knowledge on these specific apps, is this the space you are working in? Or are you looking for more general growth examples?

I would also say that what helped those companies would probably not apply to yours because of various uncontrollable factors.

Rosie, I do test many solutions such as:

          • list/ submit to platforms regarding startups, landing pages, remote work
          • conduct social listening on Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit and Quora
          • leverage groups on Facebook and Slack
          • carry out a swap promotion with a similar startup (I've got 2k mailing list and I look for entities that have 2k mailing list and operate on similar field)
          • kick-off sponsored newsletter about productivity.
