Growth x Design: I built my first UI design portfolio on Notion in 6 hours

Being a growth marketer by day, UI designer by night & weekend. Trust me, it’s fun!

🤔 But why?

While design and growth have different goals, but they aren’t so different. Great design attracts the right audience and vital visual communication brings value.

✍️ How I learn UI design?

3 years ago, I started a self-taught #uidesign journey. Read Medium, learn from experienced mentors, and get my hands dirty. Since then, I’ve curated some proud projects. But I always find it hard to showcase systematically.

😏 What? On Notion???

Last weekend, I decided to build my portfolio on Notion. It spent 6 hours to organize information and make it look great.

The building blocks forced me to focus on simplicity and readability. I handpicked some UIs from freelancing, side hustles, and Hackathons.

You will also see some options from the immersive Daily UI challenge (100 days non-stop! 😱). Finally, my skill-mix. Done!

If you're planning to show your work to the world. Notion is a good place. Super excited to share and all ears for feedback :D

Next step: I'm going to reverse-document my design process, paper work and interactive prototype.

No problem, and of course! I'm an architectural designer so I had a portfolio of my school work and one for my experimental work. Since I'm working for a firm at the moment I don't need my school work portfolio but would like to still publish some of my experimental works and something like this could be perfect.
Feel free to DM on Twitter!

This looks awesome. Do you also use design portfolio sites like Dribble to showcase your work to other designers?
