In the 2026 AI-driven landscape, direct referral clicks are often lower due to "zero-click" summaries, so I focus on tracking users who read a post and then search for the brand by name a few days later. Regarding volume, high-trust placements absolutely crush the "quantity" approach. A single citation on a Tier-1 industry site does more to establish your "Entity Authority" with Google's AI than fifty mid-tier blogs ever could. Day-to-day, I’m measuring AI Citation Frequency—how often Gemini or Perplexity quotes us as the primary source—because if you aren't the cited expert in the AI block, you're effectively invisible.
