Hacker News comments for your blog
Simple and easy way to add hacker news comments into your blog. Static blog are missing comment section and lot of people are relying on disqus and other costly forum so I thought why not use HN comments. So I've created this service to display hacker news comments on your blog webpage.
This is my weekend project launched few hours back. Feedback welcome.
This is a good idea. Comment implementation really can be a problem for us folks with static sites built on tools like Jekyll or Statiq. The most important features for a disqus alternative for me are:
The Disqus script can harm your page speed, even if it's loaded asynchronously, which stinks for people focused on SEO.
I'm glad to see someone working on an alternative. I haven't tested it yet, but keep it up!
In the security stand point I made it in a way that only your HN submission post appear in your website.
I've created in the top of mongoDB and async framework so the speed is my number one priority. I hope you will check my landing page to see how fast the comment is loading.
