Halapeno as a brand name - yes / no?

I am thinking about using halapeno.com for a new product I am launching, so a play on jalapeno. What are your thoughts on using this as a brand?

Can you share some background about the project?

I would do it. Btw maybe you could have used the poll feature for a new post, so we see clear results of a voting process.

Nope - google and other search engines will treat it like misspelled. Try to search halapeno - you will get results for jalapeno instead. Name is catchy, but for customers it will be problematic

gaining traction is a waste of time and resources. Unless you're a multi-billion dollar startup, but it's still not worth teaching a search engine to recognize a misspelled word :D IMO.

I like it :) I have no idea what your product is about and if it fits but I think it's catchy.

Is the domain yours? I guess it depends what you're going for with it.

Hey Artur, yes it’s my domain name. I don’t think the name leans towards any type of product in particular. I was thinking as a brand in general for a SAAS product.

        You're selling for 250K? I'd say it's a memorable name, not generic.
