I thought this is an appropriate community to share this :)
The 13th of October is the International Day for Failure! This celebration was created in Finland in 2010 to promote entrepreneurship and to encourage people to cast off their inhibitions and lose their fear of failing. Since then it has spread all over the world to Germany, Canada, UK, Chile, Australia, Russia and Japan and other countries. Check out the official website http://dayforfailure.com/. Love it haha. Serendipitous timing for me personally.
Just last night I decided to wrap up one last feature and do what I've never done before with a project - put it out in the world and give it a chance to fail in the market, vs. me just having doubts and moving on.
So thanks for posting! 'Twas the kick in the butt I needed this Saturday morning.
“International day for Failure” had a weird ring to it. “International Failure Day” would have been better IMO. Either way, it’s an interesting idea!
The recursive glee in this day itself having a name fail is beyond words. :D
