Hard times ahead for startups (but maybe not indie hackers?)

TL;DR startups are struggling (as can be seen by recent layoffs in tech). Cash reserves are important right now. “Right now, the startups that are in the trickiest situation are growth-stage startups with unicorn-type valuations, a high burn rate... and 12 months of cash."

    Freaky! I don't know about you, but my project doesn't have much for cash reserves.

    To be clear, though, I don't think this will affect most indie hackers. We have the advantage of being small and nimble with few (if any) employees.

      Yeah I agree customers will be looking to cut cost either through dumping large SAAS companies or by downgrading and cutting unnecessary features. They could be looking for specialized features focused on niche markets at a lower cost something that indie hackers could thrive in.
