Hahah! Didn't expect to see this on the front page! I'm glad you liked it Abdul. I just watched some of it back. I'd add:

Everyone's going to mess up their first project. And probably their second as well. And when you do it's worth trying to really understand why. That's something I think I got right. After the canvases went badly wrong, I didn't sweep it under the rug. I tried to understand what why it failed. And I realised

• I built something no one wanted
• And I never figured this out until after 3 months cause I never validated it

So then every project moving forward I had the basics in place:

• Get your customers before you build something (Validation step)
• Solve a problem
• MVP < month
• Actual marketing plan. (Not just if I build it they will come rubbish!)

Really having the basics drummed into me was a big deal. You can hear about them 1 million times. But you only really take them in once you make the mistake yourself.
