Has anybody here used a no-code tool to build a no-code tool?
I have an idea. But I have no idea how to code.
So far, I have successfully created several no-code projects. And I love how powerful these tools are. However, my most recent idea would require me using a no-code tool to create a no-code tool for users. Has anybody been successful in doing this?
Here's some more details on what would have to be done. I want to create a simple portfolio site for writers. A cross between linktree and an online resume. Like dribble for writers. So the user would have to be able to create their own profile, create their website portfolio with one of several available designs, be able to edit these websites to insert their own writing, pictures and links and then point this to their own domain.
Am i crazy to even consider no-code tools to build something like this? I haven't had a chance to use bubble, but this seems to be the most powerful of the tools. Still, not sure if it will work

I highly recommend a no-code builder called FlutterFlow.io. The entire platform allows you to build mobile apps and webapps with no-code whatsoever.

Also I want to add. Stick to one tool , don't play with shiny objects. Cause Bubble and other tools are not easy. You need to spend time with them to become Good. BUT, it is much much faster and cheaper than do it with code
yeah, I agree. this is a good rule of thumb. i did create a very simple app with nocode, but that was so simple i used Webflow and Wized. But that's not enough for a more serious app and it seem right now that Bubble is the leader and it would be most beneficial to stick to that one.
Hey! I work mostly with Bubble and created my app - thefeel.io with Bubble also. It is all possible and pretty easy to do. The hard part is custom domains. 2 ways you can to it. First is use unique slug values for every user so that you will be able to create something like this yourdomain.com/slug1 , yourdomain.com/slug2. But still your domain. Other way is to use plugin for Bubble - Nocodemayo. It is payed plugin but it will allow you to create subdomains for your users. user1.yourdomain.com , user2.yourdomain.com etc.

On the topic of custom domains - thanks so much for that info! do you think it wouldn't be possible to have someone point their writing portfolio page to their own domain? Instead of the domain being yourdomain.com/kirsanov, it's kirsanovsportfolio.com that then points to their page on my service?

It's base on my upcoming book where i help startup foudners write a compelling pitch instead of the boring deck they usually have.
They can set their account, members, company.
They can write, edit collaborate on the story itself and later, they invite the designers to work on a predefined brief.
The startups can even practice, improve and share their video and decks all from one place.

pretty interesting topic. I'm actually building codenull.ai which is a no-code AI model maker. And though the current target is to release the basic free version without even user authentication, I just have my main backend setup in a VPS.
However, for future I'm planning to use tools like bubble or canonic/XANO to build more complex flows.
I think the best way is to have common tasks like user auth, payments etc. handled by no-code tools but you need to have your own server that solves the main pain point of your product. In my case, Building complex AI models with no-code wasn't easy and I had to code over months for it. This code of mine which is my product's USP is hand crafted and I believe no-code tools can't replace it :)
